When it comes to looking and feeling well your face says a lit about the state of your general health.

The Chinese have been using Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture for hundreds of years and unlike other cosmetic approaches we treat the inside as well as the outside of the body.

During a consultation we look at the underlying issues which could be contributing to areas of concern on the face. This approach leads to better and longer lasting results.

Benefits of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Facial Acupuncture has been known to increase collagen production which helps to smooth and plump out wrinkles and firm the skin. Bags around the eyes, drooping eyelids and sagging skin around the face and neck can be significantly reduced and toned up. The treatment stimulates blood circulation of blood and lymth to the face, improves muscle tone and brightens the eyes.

What happens in a Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment session?

Firstly you will have a full assessment of your medical history and any underlying health issues. You will also be asked which areas of the face you have concerns over or would like to improve.

The treatment involves a hair thin needle being inserted into different points in the face and into specific lines and wrinkles that you’d like to reduce. They may also be inserted into other points on the body to support the facial treatment. The needles will be left in place for about 20 minutes while you relax then once removed a variety of supporting techniques may be used to stimulate the circulation and bring blood flow to the face.

Many patients will notice a difference after one or two treatments but usually a course of 4 to 6 treatments is recommended as the effects are most noticeable and long lasting after 6. Every person will respond differently depending on the condition of their skin and lifestyle prior to the treatment. Following the initial course, monthly maintenance treatments can prolong the results for 5-10 years.

During a 70 minute treatment I like to use Gua Sha, jade rollers, LED light therapy and steamer, all depending on the clients skin type and needs.

70 min treatment: £70
90 min treatment: £85
